In the winter of 2016, amidst a frenzy of creativity during the writing and recording of the album Rock Speakers, Bad Habitat teamed up with long time friend and collaborator, Hanif (formerly Luck-One) to produce the song "Skylights" for the DJ Zone hosted mixtape Heavy Bags and Long Goodbyes. Zone, a native of Bad Habitat's home town of Portland, Oregon, was soon to embark on a world tour with Northwest heavyweights turned global sensations Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, and intended to share the sounds of his city with the rest of the world. "Skylights" was Bad Habitat's contribution to his cause. Now, on the cusp of the release of their long awaited third full length LP, Rock Speakers, Bad Habitat has reunited with Hanif for a sequel to "Skylights", aptly titled "Skylights II". "Skylights II" is a free song designed to help set the tone as Bad Habitat counts down the last remaining weeks until the release of Rock Speakers, due in July 2017.
